All Apart of My Story (Part 3 of Series "Gracefully Broken")

Welcome to my Series "Gracefully Broken".

In this Series I will be telling My Story. You are on Part One, "I Surrender...". Each part will be posted a week apart! Please enjoy and open your ears and hearts to what God is telling you through this! Enjoy!

There are two things that have come to me and I have grasped onto since these events that have occupied the past year of my life. These two things have kinda been or are becoming my anthem through out these new beginnings for me. The first one is something that my Mom has kept saying to me through all of this which is "This is all apart of your story". Everything, good, bad, scary, or exciting is apart of my life story and who I am. I need to embrace it all as God's plan that is just perfect for ME! In your life there are going to be plots, chapters, short story's, ending, and new beginnings. All of these things are what make you who you are. Every piece, good, or bad, will come to an end, so cherish and appreciate the good parts, and know you will make it through the bad parts. If you haven't found the good in your struggle yet, then the story isn't over, Your story is the most important aspect in who you are. Without it your life would be blank pages, no end or beginning, no color, no joy, and no growth. The bad times make the good times sweeter. Embrace everything that happens in your life, because it makes you who you are!

The other thing that I have learned to make a priority in my mind is a song that my Worship Pastor introduced to the church and myself. This song is called "Gracefully Broken", by Matt Redman,

(https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5bvSmAIQfw0) . I encourage everyone to follow the link RIGHT NOW to listen to this song. This song inspired the theme of this series and the lyrics inspired the title. Below I am going to put the lyrics so you can feel what I feel and understand this piece of my joy.

Take all I have in these hands

And multiply, God, all that I am

And find my heart on the altar again

Set me on fire, set me on fire

Oh, take all I have in these hands

And multiply, God, all that I am

And find my heart on the altar again

Set me on fire, set me on fire

Here I am, God

Arms wide open

Pouring out my life

Gracefully broken

My heart stands in awe of Your name

Your mighty love stands strong to the end

You will fulfill Your purpose for me

You won't forsake me, You will be with me

Here I am, God

Arms wide open

Pouring out my life

Gracefully broken

Pouring out my life again

All to Jesus now

All to Jesus now

Holding nothing back

Holding nothing back

I surrender

I surrender

I surrender

I surrender

This song is beautiful. One of my favorite lines is "With arms wide open". I constantly need to remember to give everything over to him and praise the lord always. When I sing this I hold my arms out wide to feel God's presence. I close my eyes and sing with my whole heart. I encourage everyone to have something in your life you can use to just stand and feel God moving.

So, there you have it. That's been a HUGE thing going on in my life right now, and I wanted to share this with all of you because I am not ashamed. My story is a wonderful, beautiful, and perfect mess. I am driven to share my story in hopes that it could help others understand and/or be aware that ADD/ADHD is not always obvious. My life is still not perfect, but through the past year I have learned that the worst things in your story can change the course of your life for the better, and can also open your eyes to a new part of yourself, or the people around you. Above all, whatever was, or is going to go on in your life, know that it is all apart of your story! YOU are Gracefully Broken and must surrender all to God to be made whole! I hope you will pull from my story what God is wanting you to hear; That is my one true purpose for doing what I do! Thank YOU for giving me that voice and for taking time to listen.

End of Series "Gracefully Broken".
